Le Festival Theatre is a theatrical space created for Brest 2024. Centre stage will be Le Fourneau, France’s national centre for performance arts and Public Space at the very heart of the festivities.

The Festival’s organisation team carefully and skilfully crafts a blend of arts and sciences through a series of original and engaging creations. Designed to appeal to a wide audience, the shows will be put on every day at 17:00 hours, most of which will be followed by a discussion between the artistic teams and the visitors.

François Joncour and its musicians will perform a concert recorded at the CNRS’ sound and submarine research

Côte Ouest, organizer of the Brest Short Film Festival, has designed a program aimed at family audiences, in association with the Brest Surf Film Festival, Cinémathèque de Bretagne, Paris Brest Productions, Zoom Bretagne and INA.

For this 8th edition of the Festival there is a strong desire to offer unique and profound nocturnal spectacles in Brest.
As such, this offer will go beyond the traditional Bastille Day firework display with a series of modern, innovative shows to punctuate Brest by night.

Opening night

The opening night will be a first for Brest in the 5th basin : an oceanic-themed airshow lit up by hundreds of drones sur le thème des océans

Ligne de front show

The painter creates two characters, giants on wood, fed by the musician’s guitar. For an hour, these improvisations and electric paintings are influenced, questioned and answered in a soundscape and drawn, painted and dreamed.

Special creation – Bastille day

The Lann-Bihoué Bagad (Breton pipe band) and Music by the French Navy | Kids' Village

Two of the French Navy’s music groups will come together for a colourful concert combining their respective universes. The combination of the traditional tones of the Breton bagpipe and the bombarde, blended with those of the wind and percussion instruments of the Orchestre d’Harmonie, will sweep you up in an unsuspected and unexpected musical soundscape coloured by a spirit of sharing and friendship.
A unique musical interlude that simply must not be missed !
